Spike Video Game Awards Winners
The winners of the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards winners have been announced during an awards ceremony on December 7 in Culver City, California. The winners in the music-related categories were Journey (Austin Wintory) for Best Original Score and "Cities" from Sound Shapes (Beck) for Best Song in a Game. In an encouraging sign for independent gaming, the event's two big winners were The Walking Dead: The Game and Journey with five and three award wins respectively. Austin WIntory also recently received a Grammy nomination and his score is a multiple nominee in the Annual Game Music Awards 2012.
